Blightlord Terminator

Blightlord Terminators are a powerful unit in the Death Guard army in Warhammer 40,000. They are heavily armored and armed with deadly melee weapons and a special ranged weapon - a bubotic axe - that can deal damage at close and long range, and have the ability to shrug off small arms fire with their Disgustingly Resilient special rule, which allows them to ignore wounds on a roll of 6+.

Here are some tips on how to effectively use Blightlord Terminators in a Death Guard army:

  1. Use them as a versatile melee unit: Blightlord Terminators are incredibly durable and deadly in close combat, and also have a special ranged weapon which can be used as a heavy support weapon or at short range, so it's a good idea to use them to tie up enemy units and deal heavy damage in melee and at range. They can take on a wide range of enemy units, from infantry to heavy vehicles, and can help secure objectives in the enemy deployment zone.

  2. Use them as a bodyguard: Blightlord Terminators can be used to protect your other units from enemy fire. By using them as a bodyguard for your important units, such as your Lord of Contagion, you can ensure that your army's key units are not taken out of action early in the game.

  3. Use them in conjunction with other units: Blightlord Terminators work best when used in conjunction with other units. For example, you can use them in combination with a unit of Nurgle Daemon Princes to create a powerful melee threat that is difficult for the enemy to deal with.

  4. Use them as an objective holder: Their heavy armor, strong ranged weapon and the ability to revive make them perfect to hold objectives and controlling the midfield, they can survive enemy fire that would wipe out other units, and with the possibility of returning to the game.

  5. Take advantage of their special rule: Blightlord Terminators have a special rule called Blight-grenades, which allows them to spread Nurgle's corruption to nearby units when they die. Make sure to use this ability to your advantage by placing them in a position where they can affect as many enemy units as possible when they inevitably fall in battle.

  6. Keep them close to the leader: The Death Guard army benefits from the aura abilities of their leaders, so try to keep them within range of your warlord or other characters to maximize their effectiveness.

It's worth noting that this is just a general approach, and in a real game, you should always adapt your strategy according to the situation, your opponent's army and the scenario you're playing. Also, it is always good to practice with the unit and the army to fully understand the capabilities of the Blightlord Terminators and how they best fit into the army's playstyle.
